Proposed Locality model for education – survey for children and young people.

We want to hear from children and young people in Torbay about Torbay Council’s plans to improve educational services for children with additional needs.

There is an online survey and a Word version that you can either print out for people who prefer to do a paper survey, or alternatively you can complete it electronically and email it to Localityconsultation@torbay.gov.uk

In the survey you will find information about the things we plan to do, such as:

• Working with partners including your school, local doctors and nurses, parents, and other community helpers as part of a local ‘Cluster’
• Getting help more quickly without necessarily needing an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP)
• Creating new Enhanced Resource Bases (ERPs) to help young people who find it hard to stay in a regular classroom all day and might need to learn in smaller groups.
• Making better use of Parkfield as a ‘multi-use’ hub.
