Environmental Enforcement Pilot
In July 2015, the Mayor made a decision to commence a 12 month environmental crime pilot project, following the outcome of a competitive tendering process. The 12 month project is due to be completed in September 2016.
A decision is therefore required on the future of the environmental crime project and what functions should it perform to improve visibility, increase enforcement and re-educate the wider public of the negative impact of environmental crime on the community.
