Serving as a school governor is a valuable and important volunteering role. With over 400 governor positions in Torbay schools (including those in Academies) and most governors serving for a four year term, there is regular turnover. Governing bodies need a wide range of skills and expertise and we are always looking for new recruits. Being a governor does require a time commitment for attending meetings (usually at least around eight a year) and for undertaking training.

If you would like to put yourself forward, you can either contact a school directly or contact us.
