Admissions appeals timetable

When are appeals held?

Appeal hearings are held during the working day.

They are not held at weekends, in the evening or during the school holidays.

Generally, we cannot accommodate working patterns and therefore you may need to book time off work to attend an appeal hearing. If you know that you cannot attend an appeal on certain dates (for example you are on holiday) please include this information on the appeal form. If possible, we will try to avoid hearing your appeal on these dates.

Appeal hearings are held remotely via Zoom.

You will receive a letter acknowledging receipt of your appeal which will also provide an indication which month your appeal is likely to be heard.

Entry into reception

Allocation Date: 16 April 2024
Appeal form to be summited by: 31 May 2024
On time appeal submissions to be heard: July 2024
Late applications are heard within: 40 school days from the deadline for lodging appeals where possible or within 30 school days of the appeal being lodged. The appeal deadline date will be as stated in your offer letter.

Entry into Year 7

Allocation date: 1 March 2024
Appeal form to be submitted by: 29 March 2024
On time appeal submissions to be heard: May/June 2024
Late applications are heard within: 40 school days from the deadline for lodging appeals where possible or within 30 school days of the appeal being lodged. The appeal deadline date will be as stated in your offer letter.

Sixth Form

Separate arrangements apply to appeals for places in sixth form. Please ask for further details if you need more information.

Allocation Date: Varies at each school – contact the school for details
Appeal form to be summited by: 20 school days from the date of the notification that the application for admission was unsuccessful.
Appeal submissions to be heard within: 30 school days of the exam results where the offer of a place was conditional upon exam results, or within 40 school days of the deadline for lodging appeals.

In year school transfers

Appeal form to be submitted by: 20 school days of notification of the allocation.
On time appeal submissions to be heard within: 30 school days of the appeal being lodged.
