  • 4 community protection warnings were issued.
  • 3 community protection notices were issued.
  • 36 public spaces protection orders (PSPOs) were issued for alcohol (29 in Torquay and 7 in Paignton).
  • 4 PSPOs were given for dispersal.
  • Town centre officers and anti-social behaviour officers also monitor people regularly.
  • 12 homeless people were housed in either private rented accommodation or at the Leonard Stocks
  • 70 businesses in Torquay and 58 in Paignton are part of StoreNet. These are portable radios to improve communication between traders and address shoplifting and ASB. The radio system is linked directly into the CCTV control room and the police.
  • 61 Torquay businesses are part of NiteNet, a radio system operating in the evening and night-time economy. Street Marshalls and pastors also carry them.
