  • We issued 3 community protection warnings.
  • We issued 3 community protection notices.
  • We issued 19 public spaces protection orders (PSPOs) for alcohol. 17 were in Torquay and 2 in Paignton.
  • 2 PSPOs were given for dispersal in Torquay.
  • There has been further enforcement in 5 cases in Torquay. This is where individuals were pursued for incidents. These include shoplifting and aggressive and threatening behaviour.
  • Town centre officers and anti-social behaviour officers regularly monitor people.
  • We housed 13 homeless people. This was either in private rented accommodation or at the Leonard Stocks Centre.
  • 70 businesses in Torquay and 58 in Paignton are part of Radio Net. These are portable radios used to improve communication between traders. They can address shoplifting and ASB. The radio system links into the CCTV control room and the police.
  • 61 Torquay businesses are part of Night Net. This is a radio system operating in the evening and night-time. Street Marshalls and pastors also carry them.
