The reconstructed section of Goodrington Road reopened on Friday 5 April.
The road was closed on Monday 22 January for the carriageway to be completely rebuilt. That was finished ahead of schedule and allowed surfacing and lining to take place after the Easter break.
The scheme was originally planned to take 12 weeks, so we are grateful to SWISCo and Cormac Contracting Ltd for successfully completing the work two weeks early.
And we would like to thank local residents and motorists for their patience during the disruption caused by this essential maintenance.
