We have a duty to inspect and repair the public highway (roads and paths), issuing repairs when the condition falls below the required standard, this includes grass verges,no potholes and footpaths as well as winter salting of roads in Torbay.

Whilst we inspect all of the highway areas cyclically, we can’t be everywhere, every day so it is really important that you tell us if you see a defect that you think needs attention. We can’t promise to repair every defect but we will inspect all reports within 3 working days.
