Request a TRO

Find out how to request a new traffic regulation order or changes to an existing one.

Fraudulent PCN payment text messages and QR code scam

We are aware that people are getting fake text messages asking for penalty charge payments with a link. We will never ask for payments via text. Penalty charge notices are either placed on your vehicle or sent by post. If you get such a text, block the sender and report it to Action Fraud.

Also, fake QR codes have been found in some of our car parks. We don’t use QR codes for parking payments. You should only use our pay and display machines or the RingGo app. If you see any QR codes in our car parks, please call us at 01803 207695.

If you would like changes to be made to introduce new waiting restrictions, or speed or weight limits, or for changes to be made to any existing restrictions in an area please complete the following form:

  Make a parking restriction request

Establishing a new restriction via a Traffic Regulation Order can take up to six months to complete and can result in substantial legal fees along with other costs related to road markings, signage and advertising.

Where a proposed Traffic Regulation Order looks to relax or remove existing restrictions a 21 day period is given for any objections to be put in place. Residents, traders and motorists should not assume that parking restrictions will no longer apply after this date, and restrictions will continue to apply until signage and road markings are removed and the relevant Traffic Regulation Order has been amended.
