Councillor Jackie Thomas, Cabinet Member for Culture, Tourism & Events and Corporate Services said: “The Torbay Lottery has been running for nearly 8 years and continues to support so many local good causes and community groups through the Small Grants Fund as well as through the weekly lottery draws.  We really value the work that our local groups undertake supporting our children, young and older people and those with disabilities, to encourage them to be more active and manage their health and wellbeing, particularly those who have been most impacted by the ongoing increases to cost of living.  To date we have given out over £101,100 in funding from the Small Grants Fund.”

“We are still looking for new local groups to join the lottery and benefit from monthly income generated through ticket sales as well as through the Small Grants Fund which is opened at the start of each year for local groups to bid for up to £2,000 towards the cost of specific items. To sign up visit www.torbaylottery.co.uk.”
