As the warm summer breeze sweeps through Torre Abbey, the stage is set for a magical season of outdoor theatre. Building on the success of last year’s Shakespearean performances, Torre Abbey invites both seasoned theatregoers and first-time visitors to immerse themselves in the captivating world of live performances. The Abbey's serene setting creates a unique and intimate atmosphere, making each show an unforgettable experience.

The summer schedule starts with the fantastic Duke’s Theatre Company, back with their fourth production and second visit to Torre Abbey. The acclaimed troop are performing Shakespeare’s ‘As You Like It’ on Saturday 6 July at 7pm, with a matinee performance on Sunday 7 July at 2pm.

The ancient Forest of Arden serves as the backdrop for Shakespeare’s most famous and quotable comedy. When Rosalind is banished from Duke Ferdinand’s court, new identities are explored with hilarious consequences. Music, mayhem, and madness thrill as you are shown that “All the world’s a stage”. Kevin Bennett directs this brand-new production that will visit fifty of the UK’s most magical venues this season.

On the 10 August, Torre Abbey invites your lost boys and girls and those who refuse to grow up, as their gardens are transformed into Neverland. Immersion Theatre proudly bring their trademark energy to their most magical musical to date, Peter Pan.

Perfect for families, this magical production encourages you to think happy thoughts and fly high as the mischievous Peter embarks on an awfully big adventure. Filled with catchy music, this hilarious and exciting musical promises to have every member of the family HOOKED! There are two shows on Saturday 10 August starting 1:30pm and 4:40pm.

The final instalment of outdoor theatre is capped off by the hilarious Four Forty Theatre. Performing on the 16 & 17 August with a British Summertime Shakespeare Double Bill - Twelfth Night and A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

Four Forty Theatre are four professional actors who deliver an exciting, engaging and energetic piece of theatre in 40 minutes. Experience the hilarity of two of the Bard’s best comedies condensed into short, side-splitting shows. In a mere 40 minutes each, they distil the essence of Shakespeare's masterpieces into uproarious performances, for an unforgettable night of laughter and with a British Seaside Twist! Shows start at 6pm.
