June

A diversion route will be in place for the duration of the works.

Brixham

May

From Monday 17 May for 8 days, works will be taking place on New Road, Brixham from Sainsbury’s up to Monksbridge. This essential maintenance work will be carried out under a traffic light system.

June

Major reconstruction works in Brixham will be commencing in June (date tbc) on Northfields Lane from North Boundary Road to Cumber Drive.

The works will take approximately 3 months to complete and during this period the road will be closed to through traffic. In order to minimise disruption and to keep as much of the road accessible to residents, works will be undertaken in shorter sections, working from side junction to side junction.

Pre warning signs will be in place soon and affected residents will receive further details two weeks prior to the work starting.

Councillor Mike Morey, Cabinet Member for Infrastructure, Environment and Culture at Torbay Council, said; “We recognise that these works will cause some disruption to local residents. All work will be carried out as fast and safely as possible and we thank residents in advance for the patience whilst these essential works take place.”
