Resurfacing work will be taking place in a number of areas of Torbay in late February and early March.

At the end of this month, there will be reconstruction works on Babbacombe Road, Torquay between lower Warberry Road and Old Torwood Road.

Then from 9 March there will be resurfacing work at Kingswear Road in Brixham (from Gattery Lane to Hill Head), for four days with the road closed to traffic. There will be a diversion along Dartmouth Road, New Road, Monksbridge, Knick Knack Lane, ending at Milton Street (with the other direction diverted along the same roads but in reverse).

Other resurfacing work due to take place in March includes Yew Close and Meadow Park in Brixham, and Oatlands Drive Paignton – the exact date for these to start is to be confirmed. The work will be carried out by Cormac on our behalf.

Local residents will be informed in writing and pre-warning signs will be placed around the area.

Councillor Mike Morey, Cabinet Member for Infastructure, Environment and Culture for Torbay Council, said: “As part of our continuous commitment to structural maintenance across the Bay, these works are necessary and need to be carried out. We are aware these works will be disruptive, so we ask anyone who needs to use this area during this time to look at taking a different route. Local schools and businesses are being notified and we will work with our contractor to minimise the disruption as much as possible.”
