Executive Lead for Tourism, Culture and Harbours, Nicole Amil said “Christmas at Torre Abbey is a magical time. I am excited to see a number of festive workshops suitable for all ages and to get everybody involved! This will certainly put you in the Christmas spirit.”
The Abbey is hosting 7 sessions across 4 days to give you the opportunity to create your own wreath and lanterns. Although the first session is for adults only, the other 6 sessions are for the whole family! You can make natural wreaths to take home or you can create stunning lanterns.
Have you ever decorated your own Christmas bauble before? If not, Torre Abbey are hosting a family event where you will get the opportunity to decorate your very own baubles with artist Jackie Bufton. Adults will work with 3-D glass baubles and children will be provided with 2-D Perspex baubles. Within the price of your tickets, you not only get entry to the Abbey, you also get two baubles each. One is for you to take home and the other is for you to be able to help decorate our own tree! Additional baubles can be purchased for £2.50.
Bring your handmade lanterns down on the 22 December for our Lantern Parade; remember your singing voices! You won’t be alone as the chorus will be lead by Hugh Nankivell and his choral engineers, famed for their recent work with the Unesco Geopark opening ceremony
These events book up quickly and there are a limited number of spaces so ensure you book your tickets.

Over the Christmas period, Torre Abbey is open Wednesday to Sunday, from 10am to 5pm, up until January. However, it is closed from Saturday 24 December to Tuesday 27 December.
