Find out about the new money-saving scheme and resident card for people living in Torbay.
There will be a My Bay resident card which can be used for £10 worth of free toilet entry to Torbay public toilets, equal to 33 visits. You can present your card at the card reader to gain entry at the toilet barriers.
The card will give access to offers and discounts on retail and leisure. You can find these at a range of local businesses and attractions across Torbay.
Eligible scheme members can also get a parking permit at no additional cost. This gives you an extra hour of free parking when you buy a ticket for an hour or more in all Torbay Council off-street pay-and-display car parks. (Conditions apply).
You will be able to sign up via our My Torbay online customers service portal. You can create a My Torbay account now if you don’t have one.
Make the most of the 'early bird' sign up from September to November 2024. This gives you more months to use your card.
We will ask you for evidence that you live in Torbay. There is also a one-off £10 non-refundable administration fee.
To get the parking permit you will need to show:
We will then post both the physical card and parking permit. These will be valid for 15 months from 1 January 2025 to 31 March 2026.
There will be a second chance to sign up in January and February 2025. The card and permit will be valid for the 12 months from 1 April 2025 to 31 March 2026.
We know how much the cost of living has risen in recent times. We hope the My Bay scheme will ease pressure on household finances by saving you money. At the same time you will be helping to give the local economy a boost.
You can unlock savings on parking and have a number of free entries to public toilets. You will have access to great deals from local businesses and attractions.
Card holders can get a permit to use in all off-street pay-and-display Torbay Council car parks. This gives you an extra hour of free parking when you pay for an hour or more. See below for more details and conditions.
We will review the scheme annually.
