We are continuing work to ensure there are more Changing Places public toilets in Torbay. We are working with a range of partners and with government funding.
Healthmatic are a leading delivery partner for the Changing Places Campaign. They work with MDUK on delivering these units across the country. They will deliver the new one planned for Brixham. They were also responsible for delivering the current facility in Paignton. They hold the current cleaning and maintenance contract for all of Torbay’s toilets.
We already have a Changing Places public toilet on Paignton Seafront. You can find it behind the Vue Cinema. The toilet is open all year round - seven days a week. From 8am to 9pm in the summer and 8am to 6pm in the winter.
There is no charge to access the changing places facility. You gain access with a door coded system. You can get the code from Healthmatic on 01249 823143.

We are delivering a new Changing Places toilet for Brixham. It will be in Brixham Central Car Park. Work starts on 21 May 2024 and should be complete over the summer of 2024.
There will be minimal disruption throughout the project. The car park will remain open. During the preparatory works there may be some temporary restrictions on pedestrian access. This will be on one of the footpaths from Fore Street down to the car park. We will communicate with anyone that is directly affected.
The loading bay located by the Shopmobility unit will also be relocated during the works. This will be temporary. It will still be within Brixham Central car park but behind the rear of Tesco Express.
The Department for Levelling Up and Housing and Communities have funded the project. It is being delivered by our toilet contractors Healthmatic, working in partnership with:
We do not currently have a Changing Places public toilet in Torquay. We aim to deliver one in the future should funding become available.
