You may qualify for temporary accommodation if you are at risk of homelessness.
If we can't stop a household from becoming homeless, we might need to find temporary housing for those with vulnerable members. This could be a bed and breakfast in emergencies. Managing this housing can be hard and might mean asking households to move quickly.
If you are in our emergency housing, keep looking for long-term housing options. We expect you to try all possibilities to find this.
It's very important to follow all house rules and the terms of the agreement you signed before moving in. Breaking these rules might risk your housing.
If we accept a homeless duty to your household, we can offer suitable housing from either the social or private sector.
While staying in the temporary housing we provide, you will need to pay a small weekly 'Top Up Fee.'
We will explain this during your homeless application. We will also write this in the 'Temporary Accommodation Licence Agreement' you and your housing officer will sign.
If you have questions about these charges, please fill out the Housing Enquiry form via the button below.
Choose 'Temporary Accommodation' for the type of enquiry, then 'Top up payments' for your specific question.
