What to do if you are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.

If you are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless, please let us know. This will give you access to the support and advice you need.

Contact information

We prioritise anyone who is homeless or at imminent risk of homelessness.

What information we need

Please provide as much information as you can. Our housing options team will assess this information. We may also need you to email a clear photo of a form of identification so we can help you. We will need to see either:

  • A valid passport
  • A full birth certificate
  • Valid immigration documents

We will need to verify the physical documentation at some point.

What happens next

Once you have submitted the completed online self-referral form:

  • We will call you within 5 working days to let you know when a housing officer will contact you to discuss your housing options.
  • If you are at imminent risk of homelessness, we will book a telephone appointment. We will then conduct a full housing assessment and determine the best option for you.

Importance of asking for help early

It is very important to ask for help as soon as you think you might become homeless. The earlier you reach out, the more options and support we can offer you. Early intervention can prevent you from becoming homeless and help you find a stable place to live more quickly. Don't wait until you are in a crisis. Contact us as soon as possible so we can work together to find the best solution for you.

Where to get help

As well as us, there are also a range of other organisations who you can speak to if you are having problems with paying your rent and/or debt.

By seeking help early and talking to someone may mean you can continue to stay where you are.
