Take a stroll along the Agatha Christie Mile with Matt Newbury, author of a brand new book called Agatha Christie’s Devon. On this fun and relaxed walk, you will learn all about the Queen of Crime’s early life in Devon and how her time on the English Riviera inspired several of her books. As this is a mystery walk, you should also expect the unexpected and a few surprises along the way. Your ticket also includes a copy of the book, which the author will be happy to sign for you.
Please note, although this is called the Agatha Christie Mile, the actual distance is closer to three miles. But we will be taking it at a leisurely pace, with lots of stops and there is only one small hill along the way.
Meet at the Agatha Christie Statue on Cary Green (to the rear of the Tourist Information Centre). The walk will take about two hours and finish at the Grand Hotel, where you might like to enjoy a spot of lunch or light refreshments. Places are strictly limited and booking is essential.
Part of the International Agatha Christie Festival.
Time 11am to 1pm and 2pm to 4pm
Cost £12 - includes a copy of the book
