Parliamentary elections

Find out about the elections held to elect the Member of Parliament for Torbay including the results of past elections.

The Prime Minister, Rishi Sunak, has announced that he intends for there to be a UK Parliamentary general election (UKPGE) on Thursday 4 July 2024.

In order to vote in an election, you need to be on the electoral register. If you are already registered to vote, you do not need to re-register, unless you have moved house or your details have changed.

Electors in the following wards fall under the South Devon Constituency for a General Election and therefore vote for a different MP to voters in Torbay:

  • Furzeham with Summercombe
  • St Peters with St Marys
  • Churston with Galmpton
  • Collaton St Mary
  • Kings Ash
