The Western Corridor scheme is now complete and the scheme received a commendation in the Transportation Project of the Year category, at the South West Chartered Institute of Highways and Transportation in 2020.

Improvements were made to one of Torbay’s main strategic routes that boosted the economic development of Torbay, by improving access to both existing and planned sites for employment and housing.

Funding was provided by the Heart of the South West Local Enterprise Partnership along with a contribution from the Department for Transport, through the Local Pinch Point Fund, some planning development contributions, and some capital funding from us.
