UNICEF Child Friendly Community – Surveys for children and young people

Please take the survey to help us on our journey to become a Child Friendly Community with UNICEF UK

We have two surveys for children and young people as part of our work with the United Kingdom Committee for UNICEF (UNICEF UK) towards Torbay becoming globally recognised as a Child Friendly Community.

Earlier this year we announced our ambitious new partnership with UNICEF UK which will see councillors, council staff and local community and voluntary sector partners turning to children’s rights – as set out in the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child – to guide decisions that affect children and young people in Torbay.

Please can you share the relevant survey links with children or young people you know, whether as a parent/carer, or if you work with them – we want to get as many people’s views as possible.

In addition, staff from Torbay Council’s Children’s Services, Youth Services, Young Carers and participation teams will be out and about over the summer with paper copies of the surveys to ask for young people’s views. There will also be paper copies in libraries and Family Hubs in the coming weeks.
