Tell us about a carer or care worker
You may not have to pay any council tax if you are a carer and have left your home because you have moved to provide care for someone.
To qualify:
- The property must be unoccupied and have been the main home of the carer immediately before moving to provide care
- The person must be being cared for because of old age, disablement, illness, alcohol or drug dependence or mental problems
We will need to see proof of the benefit received.
