How we will work with you to help get your child back on track
We will work with you to initially just to get to know your child. We want to find out what you are good at and what is going for you in your life and environment. We will ask what your child thinks about:
Once we know this, together with you and others supporting you, we can work out a plan to stop this happening again. It may be as simple as you not having been in school. Then having nothing to do during the day. This led to hanging around with older children or adults and then getting into trouble.
We can help look at why you are not in school. We can find a new placement or renegotiate getting back into school. We will look for other activities and friendship groups that are more positive.
The worker allocated to your child will offer you support from the TYJS Parenting worker. They will be able to provide more advice, support and programmes directly for you. They will help adapt your parenting to support the change required for your child.
We will help your child with:
We help young people make up for what they have done and then help put their life back on track so they do not offend again.
