Fostering and my family

How will fostering affect my family

We recognise that it is essential that the whole family signs up to becoming a family that fosters. Everyone must feel heard, both throughout the assessment journey and after approval.

That is why we make it our priority to listen to the views and answer the questions of your children. We do this both during your assessment, and once you are approved.

Our fostering support team hold regular social activities for you and your family. You can build a network of fostering friends and support in our fostering community.

We know it is important to give your children time to talk about their experiences of fostering. They can chat to your dedicated fostering social worker when they visit. They can also get involved at our children who foster support groups.
