We understand the importance of assistance dogs. They support their owners' daily activities and well-being. We have a commitment to accessibility. Working/assistance dogs are permitted on all Torbay beaches, all year round.

We want everyone to have a comfortable experience on the beach. We kindly request that all assistance dogs are clearly identified as such with a vest or harness. This helps to inform other beachgoers. They will then understand why the dog is on the beach and welcome it.

Beacon Cove is a perfect haven away from the main beach of Torquay, close to the harbour.

There is a small promenade above a tiny shingle beach and its sheltered position makes it a warm sunny spot even out of season. At the turn of the century this beach was known as the Ladies Bathing Cove.

Beacon Cove is a short walking distance from Torquay harbour side and forms part of the Agatha Christie Mile  Opens in a new window , as it was a favourite bathing spot for the writer.
