Safeguarding Adults

This content is also available in easy read format.

Safeguarding is fundamental to high-quality health and social care. It is all about:

  • protecting people’s health
  • ensuring well-being
  • protecting human rights
  • enabling everyone to live free from harm, abuse and neglect

We have specific duties to safeguard adults from exploitation, abuse or neglect.
Within all our services we adopt a zero tolerance to exploitation and adult abuse. We work hard to ensure that people who use our services live their lives:

  • free from exploitation, violence or abuse
  • fear of exploitation, violence or abuse
