There is a requirement for a Statutory Service Plan under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, which covers the work to be undertaken, during the coming year. This involves support for businesses, targeted inspections based upon risk or intelligence and partnership working with the Health and Safety Executive.

Key Risks: This helps and supports businesses in protecting both people at work and those members of the public who use those premises. It also forms an important part of the partnership arrangements with the Health and Safety Executive and without it, may result in government intervention.
