Consultees

Council Officers & Members. The Trust has already carried out some consultation with (and will need agreement from) the families of the current residents at Occombe House about the proposals.

Reason for inclusion in Forward Plan: A long lease would enable the service provider to finalise proposals for the redevelopment of the site into supported living accommodation for both current and future residents.

Key Risks: Since the Planning Authority for the site is South Hams District Council there is a risk that the redevelopment proposals do not obtain planning consent. To minimise the risk to Torbay Council the granting of the long lease would be conditional on such consent being obtained.
