To consider the recommendation of the Cabinet in respect of the Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence Strategy.

The Council considered the recommendations of the Cabinet on the proposed Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence Strategy.  The Strategy was the over-arching strategic document which helped to create safe spaces, support victims and addressed behaviours of those causing harm so that Torbay’s vulnerable residents and their children could thrive.

Councillor Carter proposed and Councillor Stockman seconded a motion, which was agreed (unanimously) by the Council as set out below:

that the Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence Strategy as set out in Appendix 1 to the submitted report, be approved.
