To receive any communications or announcements from the Civic Mayor, the Leader of the Council, the Overview and Scrutiny Co-ordinator, the Council’s representative on the Heart of the South West Joint Committee or the Chief Executive.

The Worshipful The Mayor of Torbay advised that, prior to the meeting of the Council, she held a Civic Reception to present long service certificates with the Chief Executive to both Councillors and officers.  The following Councillors and officers received certificates in recognition of their dedication to public service in Torbay:

The Worshipful The Mayor of Torbay provided an update on:

a)         attendance at the Civic Carol Concert; and

b)         visits to key partners namely the Police, Health and staff at the Crematorium to thank them for the invaluable services they provide.

The Chief Executive advised this was the last meeting of the Council before Kevin Mowat, Director of Place, and Martin Phillips, Director of Finance, were due to retire from the Council and gave personal thanks and on behalf of the Council for their years of dedicated service.  The Worshipful the Mayor of Torbay, Councillors Cowell, Long and David Thomas also gave their thanks on behalf all Members of the Council.
