Purpose:
A new Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) to support the implementation of the Torbay Local Plan 2012-2030's policies relating to health and wellbeing. This document includes guidance on a number of public health spatial planning issues such as Health Impact Assessment and healthy urban design.
Decision:
To publish the Draft Healthy Torbay Supplementary Planning Document for public consultation.
Reasons for the decision:
To enable a four week public consultation (20 February – 20 March 2017) on the Healthy Torbay Supplementary Planning Document to be carried out in accordance with the Town and Country Planning Regulations 2012.

None
Implementation:
This decision will come into force on 15 February 2017, so as to commence the formal four week consultation process on this Policy Framework document.
Information:
The Healthy Torbay Supplementary Planning Document is proposed to add additional guidance to the adopted Torbay Local Plan for the purposes of making planning decisions regarding issues related to health and wellbeing, including but not limited to health impact assessment, healthy food environments, community investment areas and healthy urban design.
