Purpose:
The development of a future operating model for the rationalisation of the Council’s Connections Offices. Following approval of £38,000 for six months transitional funding to allow an options appraisal to be undertaken on the future of Customer Services by Council on 25 February 2016.
Decision:
That, following the decision of the Council on 25 February 2016 (Minute 42(ii) refers), the initial options appraisal for Connections be presented to the Council meeting on 11 May 2016.
Reasons for the decision:
To allow sufficient time to develop the proposals for the options appraisal.

This decision will come into force immediately.
Information:
At the Council meeting held on 25 February 2016, Members approved £38,000 as part of the Revenue Budget for 2016/2017 for six months transitional funding to allow an options appraisal to be undertaken on the future of Customer Services and Connections. Members requested the initial options appraisal to be presented to the Council on 7 April 2016.
Due to the complexity of this task it has been deemed necessary to delay consideration of the options appraisal until the Annual Council meeting on 11 May 2016.
