Decision:
That the application from Brixham Archers CIC for £75,000 from the Paignton allocation of the Community Infrastructure Levy Fund for creation of a permanent indoor Archery range for Torbay be declined. Brixham Archers CIC have been advised that they may wish to submit a future application with detailed information regarding commitment to share with other Archery clubs, agreement for the use of the building and a wider community use.
Reasons for the decision:
The applications were considered by the CiL Spend Panel on 4 December 2023 and recommendations were made to the Divisional Director of Planning, Housing and Climate Emergency.
Alternative options considered:
An alternative option would have been to allow the application, this option was discounted as the application did not meet the criteria for funding.
Implementation:
This decision will come into force with effect from 4 December 2023.

Determination of an application that sought £75,000.00 from the Community Infrastructure Levy Fund (neighbourhood proportion), for creation of a permanent indoor Archery range for Torbay. The application was submitted by Brixham Archers CIC.
