Devon, Somerset and Torbay Trading Standards Joint Review Panel
Description
The Terms of Reference for the Devon, Somerset and Torbay Trading Standards Joint Review (JSRP) is:
(a) to receive a report on an initial three year Strategic Plan for the Devon, Somerset and Torbay Trading Standards Service and to make a recommendation on agreement of the proposed plan and changes to Devon, Somerset and Torbay Council’s;
(b) to receive and review the Management Reports to enable the JSRP to assess the delivery and performance of the Devon, Somerset and Torbay Trading Standards Service and to ensure the effective performance of the Relevant Functions. In reviewing the Management Report the JSRP shall make comments and recommend the agreement of the proposed reports and plans to Devon, Somerset and Torbay Councils;
(c) to receive any reports during each Financial Year where it is considered that a significant change in statutory requirements, policy or financial circumstances requires the Annual Operation Plan or the schedule of fees and charges to be revisited and to recommend the appropriate action to Devon, Somerset and Torbay Council;
(d) to receive any reports from a Regulatory Body together with a report from Devon setting out any action taken in response to any issues arising; and
(e) to consider summary reports about issues, concerns or complaints relating to the delivery of the Services and to seek to resolve these and to recommend any necessary action to Devon, Somerset or Torbay Councils.
