The Prevention of Crime and Disorder
1. CCTV shall be provided and maintained in good working order and the tapes shall be kept for 4 weeks.
2. An alarm system shall be installed.
3. Spirits must be kept behind the counter.
4. The till drawer must be removed at the close of business.
5. A light shall be left on in the premises after closing.
6. Drunk and disorderly behaviour must not be tolerated.
Public Safety
1. Fire safety equipment must be provided and maintained.
2. First aid box shall be provided and an accident record book kept.
3. Fire exits must be free from obstruction at all times.
4. Wet floor caution signs must be used where appropriate.
5. Non-slip flooring shall be provided in half of the shop.
The Prevention of Public Nuisance
1. Deliveries and disposals must be done during daylight hours.
2. All rubbish produced must be kept in secure bins.
3. Customers must be asked to leave the premises quietly and not to loiter on the street.
The Protection of Children from Harm
1. There shall be no cigarette sales on the premises.
2. Suitable identification must be sought from anyone attempting to purchase alcohol that appears to be under the age of 18.
3. Staff must be trained in procedures relating to the sale of alcohol.
