General
1. The licensee shall try and make the premises a place for the older generation and families, having signs up about underage drinking, having CCTV to see if any one appears to be a problem, having drunk too much.
2. There shall be adequate lighting on stairways, making sure fire exits are always clear.
3. There shall be staff who can deal with emergencies.
4. Background music shall not be too loud.
5. The premises shall ensure that lighting does not annoy neighbours.
6. There shall not be any noxious smells or fumes to annoy other people.
7. There shall be signs up which say no underage drinking and limit the times children can be there, and ask for identification.
The Prevention of Crime and Disorder
1. There shall be CCTV cameras.
2. Anyone who is drunk, underage or using drugs shall not be served, and the Police shall be informed.
3. The premises shall discourage drink driving and offering cheap soft drinks or to call a taxi for them.
4. There shall be a wind down time from 22.30 - 23.00 hrs.
Public Safety
1. The premises are on the first floor with stairs, which shall be well lit at all times of opening.
2. The premises shall never be overcrowded.
3. The licensee shall ensure all exits and fire exits are shown clearly and no doorways and fire escapes shall be blocked at any time.
The Prevention of Public Nuisance
1. The outside lighting is up against the front building, so the licensee shall make sure it does not disturb neighbours.
2. Music shall not be played so loud so as to annoy people below and neighbours.
3. There shall be a prevention of noxious fumes from the kitchen to occupants and nearby premises.
4. People shall be asked to leave quietly.
5. CCTV shall keep an eye on things below.
The Protection of Children From Harm
1. The licensee shall not allow children to drink or buy alcohol, there shall be signs about this and they are also not allowed at the bar.
2. Children must not run around the Bistro.
3. There shall be a limited time when children can be present and also limit where they can be i.e. table or toilets.
4. If in doubt of age, shall ask for proof of age, i.e. passport, photo driving licence or Citizen card.
