The Prevention of Crime and Disorder
1. Customers shall be informed of a taxi company they can use.
2. The premises shall remain open for 30 minutes after calling last orders.
3. The opening hours must be clearly displayed upon entrance to the pub.
4. A Notice regarding children and the age and time restrictions shall be displayed at the entrance to both rooms. The notices shall state "No children under the age of 16 are allowed in either bar or lounge unless accompanied by an adult".
5. All customers shall be reminded upon leaving the pub late at night that they are to be aware of the noise level.
6. The premises shall be a member of the Licensed Premises (exclusion of certain persons) Act 1980 scheme.
7. Notices shall be displayed around the pub informing customers of the drugs awareness scheme and that all the staff are fully aware and mindful of this policy. Any drug handling or taking must not be tolerated.
8. Staff shall be fully trained in carrying out identification checks to certify a person’s age and there shall be posters in the pub advertising the policy that underage drinking will not be tolerated.
9. All AWP and cigarette machines must be in plain view of the bar.
10. Staff shall have access to both bars at all times so any situation can be dealt with quickly.
11. Outside drinking areas shall be supervised by regular visits from staff.
12. CCTV shall cover the rear outside drinking area as marked with a CCTV monitor behind the bar. There shall be further CCTV within the lobby area inside the public house.
Public Safety
1. A fire safety check shall be done annually by the Fire Safety Officer.
2. All fire doors must be illuminated at all times and areas in front of these must be kept clear.
3. Fire safety equipment must be regularly checked and maintained.
4. All apparatus within the premises must be regularly checked and maintained by the premises supervisor.
The Prevention of Public Nuisance
1. Before 23.00 hours noise coming from the premises must not be clearly distinguishable above other noise.
2. After 23.00 hours noise coming from the premises must not be distinguishable above background levels of noise.
3. The volume of amplified sound used along with entertainment must be under the control of the Premises Supervisor and/or Licensee.
4. Doors must be kept shut during entertainment to reduce noise in the area and this must be routinely checked by the Premises Supervisor and/or Licensee.
5. Every night windows throughout the pub must be routinely closed at 22.30 hours and a perimeter check must be carried out by the Premises Supervisor to ensure noise levels are of a reasonable level.
6. Bottle disposal must be kept within daylight hours.
7. Rubbish must be routinely cleared from the area surrounding the pub and customers must be reminded to keep the area tidy.
8. There shall be no service or alcohol to persons in the outside patio areas after 23.00 hours.
9. Music and other regulated entertainment shall take place inside the premises only.
10. There shall be regular checks of the outside areas up to 23.00 hours to ensure orderly conduct and the prevention of public nuisance by way of human voice to neighbours.
The Protection of Children From Harm
1. Anyone who looks under the age of 21 must be ID checked to ensure they are 18 or over. There shall be posters to this effect on display inside the premises.
2. There must be signs upon the entrance to both bar and lounge stating that anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
3. All staff must be fully aware and trained in carrying out identification checks.
4. All AWP and cigarette machines must be in full view of the bar.
5. If any form of adult entertainment were to take place on the premises i.e. Ladies Night, signs must be on clear view on all doors that it is strictly over 18 only.
6. The lobby area (newly constructed) within the premises shall ensure that if children are with their parents in the outside drinking area, they will be able to find their way through to the male and female toilets by going through the lobby area which will have an additional CCTV camera and they will then not be able to enter the main trade area.
