The Prevention of Crime and Disorder
1. The premises shall not allow the organisation of racist activity or the promotion of racist attacks.
2. There must not be discounted drinks or encourage excessive consumption.
3. There must not be allowed entry to anyone who is intoxicated.
4. There must not be service to anyone who is intoxicated.
5. There must stop anti-social behaviour.
6. They shall use toughened glasses, where possible and do not serve drinks in bottles.
7. The premises shall not allow the use of illegal drugs.
8. CCTV coverage shall be in place.
Public Safety
1. The premises do not allow prostitution or the sale of unlawful pornography.
2. The premises shall not allow the organisation of racist activity or the promotion of racist attacks.
3. The sale of smuggled tobacco and alcohol shall not be permitted.
The Prevention of Public Nuisance
1. Noise or vibration shall not emanate from the premises such as to cause persons in the neighbourhood to be unreasonably disturbed. Noise from the premises shall not be audible within any dwelling within windows open for normal ventilation especially after 11pm. This shall be assessed from the boundary to the nearest residential properties, on all sides of the licensed premises. The criteria that shall be applied are:-
(a) Before 11pm - Noise emanating from the premises shall not be clearly distinguishable above other noise.
(b) After 11pm - Noise emanating from the premises shall not be distinguishable above background levels of noise.
(c) The local authority shall reserve the right in cases of tonal noise and where premises are attached to others, to make further assessments from within the residential property.
2. The placing of refuse, such as bottles, into receptacles outside the premises shall take place at times that shall prevent disturbance to nearby properties.
3. Deliveries of kegs, bottles, food or other materials necessary for the operation of the business shall be carried out between 7am and 9pm.
4. The handling of beer kegs, bottles and other similar items shall not take place between 9pm and 7am on the outside areas of the Premise.
5. Bottle skips and bins containing cans or bottles shall not be emptied outside after closing but shall be dealt with the next day during normal office hours.
6. Measures shall be taken to deal with potential nuisance, e.g. noise from music.
7. There shall be signs near the exit requesting that patrons leave the premises quietly and to disburse away from the premises as quickly as possible.
8. A senior member of staff (manager) shall assess the impact of any noisy activities on neighbouring residential premises at the start of the activity/entertainment and periodically throughout the activity/entertainment to ensure levels of noise have not increased.
9. All windows and doors must be kept shut during regulated entertainment, except for access and egress.
10. The outside terrace area at the front of the premises shall not be used for the consumption of late night refreshments or alcohol after 11pm.
11. Cooking, noxious or persistent smells from the premises shall not cause a nuisance to nearby properties and the premises must be properly vented.
The Protection of Children from Harm
1. If in doubt, you must ask for age identification.
2. You must not serve minors.
3. Persons under the age of 18 must not be allowed on the premises, except members of the family.
4. There shall be a sign positioned outside the premises stating that no person under the age of 18 is allowed on the premises.
