General
1. Risk assessments must be carried out to prevent accidents.
2. Fire exits must be kept clear from obstruction.
3. Carpets must be checked for wear and tear.
4. Lighting must be bright and adequate.
5. Emergency lighting and fire alarms must be provided and maintained in good working order with monthly checks.
6. Annual inspections and servicing of fire equipment must be conducted.
The Prevention of Crime and Disorder
1. Clients must be reminded to keep an appropriate noise level when leaving the premises.
2. Alcohol must only be consumed on the premises.
3. Any unusual activities must be reported to the police.
4. Advice must be sought from the police where necessary.
Public Safety
1. CCTV must be provided and maintained to monitor incoming customers.
2. Visitors must use the signing in book.
3. Taxi service facilities must be displayed.
4. A no smoking policy must be adhered to.
5. Prohibitive substances are prohibited.
6. A first aid box must be provided.
7. Plastic glasses shall be provided.
8. Empty glasses and bottles must be regularly collected.
The Prevention of Public Nuisance
1. A log book must be kept for any visiting police, fire, trading standards and environment officers.
2. Noise and vibration must be minimised.
3. Disposal and recycling of cans rubbish and bottles must be conducted at sociable hours.
4. Rubbish must be stored in secure containers.
5. Doors and windows must be kept shut when music is played.
6. Clients shall be notified before the bar is closed.
The Protection of Children from Harm
1. Alcohol must not be sold to any person under the age of 18 and identification must be requested if necessary.
2. Children must be served drinks in plastic glasses.
3. Care will be taken when deciding the suitability of television programmes for children in accordance with their age.
4. Children must be supervised by a responsible adult.
