General
1. Notices must be displayed inside and outside the store indicating hours of opening and permitted sale of alcohol hours to the public.
2. Over 18’s already under the influence of alcohol and wishing to purchase alcohol must be refused service.
3. Goods deliveries to the premises must be conducted in an orderly and professional manner.
4. Anyone deemed to be under the age of 16 for cigarettes and 18 for alcohol must be refused service unless they can produce the necessary legal identification.
5. All non sales to underage drinkers must be logged and the information must be passed to all other employees.
6. All staff must be trained in alcohol sales laws.
7. CCTV must be provided and maintained in good working order both inside and outside the premises 24 hours a day.
The Prevention of Crime and Disorder
1. Notices must be displayed prominently inside the store indicating the permitted sale of alcohol hours to the public.
2. Notices stating “No ID No Sale” must be displayed at tills and counters (relating to both alcohol and cigarettes).
3. Purchases of alcohol must not leave the store unless in a carrier bag.
4. All non sales to underage drinkers and smokers must be logged and the information must be passed to all other employees.
5. All members of staff must be over 21 years of age.
6. Roller shutters must be provided on alcohol stocks available to the public outside of permitted hours.
7. CCTV must be provided and maintained in good working order both inside and outside the premises 24 hours a day.
Public Safety
1. All over 18 requests for alcohol where the purchaser is deemed to be inebriated must be refused. Information must then be logged and passed to all members of staff.
2. Membership to Storenet shall be maintained.
3. CCTV must be provided and maintained in good working order both inside and outside the premises 24 hours a day.
The Prevention of Public Nuisance
1. All deliveries to the premises must be conducted in an orderly and professional manner.
2. Amplified entertainment is prohibited on the premises.
3. A bin must be provided for patrons which must be emptied by staff.
4. There must be no movement of bins after 22:00hrs.
5. Waste disposal bins must be emptied weekly at a reasonable time.
The Protection of Children from Harm
1. Anyone deemed to be under the age of 16 for cigarettes and 18 for alcohol must be refused service unless they can produce the necessary legal identification. All restrictions on the sale of over 18 magazines must also be observed and the same practices to alcohol and cigarettes must be enforced.
2. All non sales to underage drinkers must be logged and the information must be passed to all other employees.
3. Fireworks, videos and tippex must not be stocked.
