General
1. All staff will be trained to ensure their understanding of the four licensing objectives. The licence holders will monitor and review staff training regularly to ensure effectiveness.
The prevention of crime and disorder
1. CCTV will be in operation both inside and outside the premises.
2. All staff shall receive training on licensing laws and the social responsibilities of the sale and supply of alcohol.
3. Alcohol and tobacco products will be situated behind a counter and the premises will operate a Challenge 25 scheme and will display notices advising of this.
4. The premises will inform the police as appropriate of any congregation of groups of people outside the premises that may be a cause for concern. The premises will ask any such groups to disperse as appropriate.
Public safety
1. The premises will implement Health and Safety regulations and risk assessments will be carried out regularly. Details of all staff training will be recorded and kept up to date.
2. A first aid kit will be available at all times and the premises will ensure they have a trained first aider.
3. All walkways and doors shall be kept free from obstructions.
4. The premises shall have adequate lighting and all equipment shall be maintained in working order.
The prevention of public nuisance
1. Staff shall monitor the front of the premises and the carpark areas to ensure that customers do not congregate and cause a nuisance.
2. Staff arriving early or leaving the premises late will do so with consideration to nearby residents.
3. The premises will ensure that all deliveries and the disposal of rubbish is carried out at reasonable times to minimise disturbance to nearby residents.
The protection of children from harm
1. The premises will operate Challenge 25 to ensure no underage sales of alcohol.
2. Staff will be trained in the premises proof of age policy and will only accept valid photographic identification.
3. Staff will be trained to be aware of adults purchasing alcohol for others that are underage and staff will be vigilant with regards to what is occurring outside the premises.
4. Staff shall be aware of the relevant legislation around all age-restricted products that are sold by the premises.
