The Prevention of Crime and Disorder
1. CCTV system must be provided and maintained in good working order in the premises.
2. Drunk or disorderly behaviour must not be tolerated
3. The till drawer must be removed at night, with the till left open and empty.
4. Outside security lighting must be in place.
Public Safety
1. A first aid box must be provided.
2. Fire exits must be kept free from obstruction at all times.
3. Fire safety equipment (extinguishers) must be provided and maintained with a certificate annually by a suitable person.
4. Appropriate ‘wet floor’ signage must be displayed when wet weather or floor cleaning are in progress.
The Prevention of Public Nuisance
1. Deliveries must be received in daylight hours.
2. A secure rubbish bin must be provided.
3. All customers must be requested not to loiter and to keep noise to a minimum when entering and exiting the premises.
The Protection of Children from Harm
1. All staff must be trained on the sale of age restricted products and ask for identification where necessary.
2. CCTV must be provided in the premises.
3. A refusal of service book shall be filled in where any person has been refused service due to no suitable identification.
4. Spirits, beers, wines, cigarettes and pharmaceutical products shall be kept behind the counter.
