The Prevention of Crime and Disorder
1. There must be a stop search policy which will help prevent any form of illegal activities.
2. A SIA registered door supervisor must be employed on the premises on the entrance from 10pm until closing. One door supervisor and stewards shall be employed equal to 1-100 patron ratio until closing on occupancy bases.
3. Hand held metal detector shall be used as spontaneously as required.
4. There shall be a policy to work closely with the police to prevent the consumption and supply of illegal drugs, this is also covered by the stop and search policy and with the use of ion track itemiser, drug detection 'machine' when available from the police and also the alertness of staff.
5. The premises must have CCTV cameras in strategic position throughout the premises and recordings must be saved for a minimum of 28 days. There shall be monitors for the viewing by door supervisors and stewards, continually recording for improved security for the members and public on and off the premises. There shall be a safe capacity policy of 215 monitored by the use of a clicker.
6. Drinks promotion shall be in a responsible manner.
7. Incidents must be logged in a comprehensive manner and incidents must be brought to the attention of the management. The logbook entry needs to be comprehensive. Ensure the person entering, prints name and dates the entry.
8. Information leaflets must be placed around the premises advertising cab numbers to encourage people not to drink and drive.
9. Toughened glasses, plastic bottles and safer alternatives must be used to reduce the effects of violence.
10. There shall be the promotion for the designated driver approach and display flyers when available and in order to promote the use of taxis.
11. There shall be a promotion for safer sex backed and sponsored by Eddistone Trust.
12. All the exits and passageways must be checked before the premises are open to patrons.
13. The fire alarm system must be checked weekly.
14. The emergency exits must be checked daily for spent lamps and replaced.
15. Emergency evacuation drills shall be on a monthly basis to keep staff fully aware of their function in case of an emergency.
16. Staff must keep the dancing area free from drinks and allocate a member of staff to clear used glasses regularly and shall have a system in place to deal with spillages.
17. Anti-social behaviour must be stopped to ensure the environment is safe for everyone.
Public Safety

3. Although the premises have no facilities for the disabled with wheelchair, there shall be no discrimination against the disabled. The premises have a disabled toilet on the lower ground floor.

The Prevention of Public Nuisance
1. Signs must be prominent throughout the premises for the need of patrons and their guests to leave quietly and disburse away from the premises as quickly as possible.
2. There shall be the promotion for the designated driver approach and display flyers when available and in order to promote the use of taxis.
3. There must be an air conditioning facility and the input of fresh air and adequate extractions system.
4. All necessary measures shall be taken in and out of the premises to deal with potential for nuisance e.g. noise from music, the arrival and departure of patrons and staff, limit of fumes and lighting. Fixed notices shall be positioned to inform patrons and staff to keep noise to a minimum when leaving the premises. Insulated shutters and windows are not allowed open during the time music is played.
The Protection of Children from Harm
1. If in doubt, staff must ask for age identification and request appropriate ID e.g. Driving License with photo, or passport.
2. Persons under the age of 18 years must not be permitted on the premises.
