General
1. A 30 minute drinking up time shall allow appropriate dispersal, use of lavatories etc.
2. In order to further the licensing objectives the licensee shall reserve the right to move the fire appliances, AWP machines, cigarette machines and or any other similar objects temporarily in a fixed location which may impact on the ability of individuals on the premises to use exits or escape routes without impediment.
The prevention of crime and disorder
1. Illumination shall be provided to the exterior area of the pub, accessible to the public.
2. All interior trading areas shall be visible to staff from behind the bar servery.
3. A rota system shall be in place for checking the toilets.
4. The licensees/staff shall monitor customer behaviour especially during busy periods; antisocial behaviour shall not be tolerated.
5. Maximum effort shall be placed on providing a smoke free environment with the use of extractors and smoke filters.
6. Burglar alarm system shall be in place.
7. A minimum of two staff shall be on duty at any one time.
8. Drink drive posters shall be displayed on the premises.
Public safety
1. Health & Safety policy must be in place and adhered to. A quarterly assessment shall be carried out.
2. The premises shall be equipped with emergency lighting, illuminated exit signs and a fire detection system throughout the entire building.
3. All fire service equipment shall be serviced annually and there is a contract in place with Protech. A fire alarm test shall be carried out monthly.
4. A pest control contract shall be in place.
5. A First Aider and first aid facilities shall be on the premises.
6. A licensed taxi service shall be promoted to facilitate its customers making onward journeys.
7. The premises shall comply with the smoking charter.
8. Accident/incident book shall be available on site for staff and public.
9. Health & Hygiene certificates shall be held.
10. Full disabled facilities shall be made available.
The prevention of public nuisance
1. All of the windows are lockable and shall remain closed during live or amplified music. A noise survey shall be carried out regularly especially when entertainment is being provided.
2. When required, staff shall organise taxis to transport customers home and customers are seen off the premises and encouraged to disperse at closing.
3. The premises shall not promote aggressive drinks promotions i.e. heavy discounting/happy hours.
4. At the end of permitted hours customers shall be reminded (verbally) to leave the premises quietly.
The protection of children from harm
1. Children shall not be permitted on the premises without adult supervision.
2. A full children’s food and soft drinks menu shall be available.
3. Large outside drinking area shall be available for children.
4. A large no smoking dining area shall be available for families.
