The Prevention of Crime and Disorder
1. The premises shall not allow the use of Class A drugs.
2. There shall be no organisation of racist activity or the promotion of racist attacks.
3. There shall be no encouragement of excessive drinking.
4. There shall be no entry to anyone who is intoxicated.
5. There shall be no service to anyone who is intoxicated.
6. There shall be a stop to any anti-social behaviour.
7. Toughened glass shall be used where possible, and there shall be no drinking from bottles.
8. CCTV coverage shall be in place.
Public Safety
1. There shall be no tolerance to the use of Class A drugs.
2. There must be no prostitution or sale of unlawful pornography.
3. No illegal gambling shall be allowed on the licensed premises.
4. There must be no organisation of racist activity or promotion of racist attacks.
5. There must be no sale of smuggled tobacco or alcohol.
The Prevention of Public Nuisance
1. Measures shall be taken to deal with potential nuisance/noise from music/offensive behaviour.
2. Signs internally near exit shall ask patrons to leave the premises quietly and to disperse away from the premises as quietly as possible.
3. Sound levels shall be kept to an acceptable level so as not to cause nuisance to neighbours and the general public.
4. Noise or vibration shall not emanate from the premises such as to cause persons in the neighbourhood to be unreasonably disturbed. Noise from the premises shall not be audible within any dwelling with windows open for normal ventilation especially after 11pm. This shall be assessed from the boundary to the nearest residential properties, on all sides of the licensed premises. The criteria that shall be applied are:-
(i) Before 11pm - Noise emanating from the premises shall not be clearly distinguishable above other noise.
(ii) After 11pm - Noise emanating from the premises shall not be distinguishable above background levels of noise.
(iii) The local authority shall reserve the right in cases of tonal noise and where premises are attached to others, to make furhter assessments from within the residential property.
5. The placing of refuse, such as bottles, into receptacles outside the premises shall take place at times that shall prevent disturbance to nearby properties.
6. Deliveries of kegs, bottles, food or other materials necessary for the operation of the business shall be carried out at such a time or in such a manner as to prevent nuisance and disturbance to nearby residents.
7. The handling of beer kegs, bottles and other similar items shall not take place in the late evening, at night and during the early morning, when the noise generated could cause a nuisance particularly outside buildings.
8. Bottle skips and bins containing cans or bottles shall not be emptied outside after closing but shall be dealt with the next day during normal office hours.
The Protection of Children From Harm
1. If in doubt age identification shall be asked for.
2. A sign stating "no person under the age of 18 is allowed on the premises". Minors shall not be served.
3. No children shall be permitted on the licensed premises during opening times.
