CONDITIONS CONSISTENT WITH THE OPERATING SCHEDULE
The prevention of crime and disorder
1. During trading hours the shop will adhere to 'Challenge 25”. I will ask for identification if the customer does not look 25 and if the customer does not have identification I will not sell the alcohol.
2. There will be no sale of alcohol to anyone deemed to be under the influence of alcohol.
3. An alarm system is place.
4. There will be a CCTV installed.
5. A challenge 25 poster will be visible at the till and on the shop door.
Public safety
1. The alcohol will be displayed on secured shelves at easy reach to the customer.
2. There will be no trip hazards. If the floor becomes wet due to rain or a liquid spillage of some sort, immediate action will be taken to remove the liquid and a warning sign will be placed around the area.
3. Be aware and up to date with any Covid restrictions and working procedures and follow them accordingly.
4. Carry out a risk assessment for the property to protect the public and prevent harm.
5. Have in place correct public liability insurance as stated by law.
The prevention of public nuisance
1. The sale of alcohol will not go ahead to anyone under the influence of alcohol or anyone under the age of 18.
2. Report accordingly to the police any person creating a public nuisance.
The protection of children from harm
1. Identification will be asked for if the customer looks under 25 and if no identification is shown the transaction will be refused. Only acceptable identification will be accepted for example, passport, driving licence, provisional licence, proof of age standard scheme card or an official military identification card.
2. Be aware of safeguarding issues ( and reporting mechanisms) of children if we encounter intoxicated parents/carers wishing to purchase alcohol.
