General
1. The clientele at the guesthouse shall use the bar for pre and post outing drinks, or drinks with meals.
2. Sales of drinks must be restricted to guests only, with soft drinks only to underage people.
3. Sale tariff, measure notices and opening/closing times shall be displayed.
5. Drinks must be served by authorised personnel/supervisor.
The Prevention of Crime and Disorder
1. Monitors/enforcement/prevention of noisy, unrully behaviour shall be carried out both inside and outside the building.
2. The door to the bar area shall be closed during non opening times.
3. There shall be information on display regarding drink drive, responsible behaviour.
4. There shall be a supply of non-alcoholic drinks available to reduce risk of over consumption of alcohol.
5. Guests shall have their own keys.
6. Cash must be locked away.
Public Safety
1. Staff and supervisors shall have training in emergency/evacuation procedures.
2. Fire alarms and extinguishers must be regularly tested and maintained.
3. There must be emergency lighting also.
4. Drinks shall be bought/consumed at the bar area.
5. The premises shall maintain a "dry lounge" policy, so no risk of broken glass etc in lounge.
6. Notices related to Fire Exits must be displayed and lit.
The Prevention of Public Nuisance
1. Levels of noise from both guests and music in the bar shall be monitored/controlled by staff.
2. Behaviour of people leaving the bar shall also be monitored/controlled.
3. Staff must have been advised on monitoring alcohol units consumed, to try and reduce drunkeness.
4. Bottles/cans shall be disposed of during daylight hours (before 18.00).
The Protection of Children From Harm
1. Any children at the Guesthouse must be accompanied by parents/relatives.
2. Staff must have been advised on underage/proof of age schemes.
3. All staff must be over 18. The premises must be run by adults (proprietors) only.
4. Soft drinks must only be allowed for children.
