CONDITIONS CONSISTENT WITH THE OPERATING SCHEDULE
The Prevention of Crime and Disorder
1. All staff selling alcohol at the premises will receive training and information in relation to the following prior to being authorised to sell alcohol at the premises:
a) The Challenge 25 scheme in operation at the premises, including the forms of identification that are acceptable.
b) The hours permitted by the premises licence issued under the Licensing Act 2003 and conditions attached to the licence.
c) How to complete and maintain the refusal register in operation at the premises.
d) Recognising the signs of drunkenness.
e) The operating procedures for refusing a sale to any person who is drunk, under-age or appears to be under-age, or appears to be making a proxy purchase.
2. A CCTV system, capable of providing images of an evidential standard in all lighting conditions shall operate throughout the times the premises are open to the public, with a recording system. All recordings shall be kept for a minimum of 21 days and copies of recordings shall be supplied to the police as soon as practicable if requested.
3. Premises License Holder and/or DPS shall risk assess the requirements for SIA registered Security staff and employ such staff, if at all, at such times determined by that risk assessment.
4. The sale and supply of all spirits shall be by way of counter service only.
Public Safety
1. The premises licence holder shall ensure that the appropriate fire safety, and health and safety regulations are applied at the premises.
The Prevention of Public Nuisance
1. Deliveries necessary for the operation of the business will be carried out at such a time or in such a manner as to prevent nuisance and disturbance to nearby residents.
2. All waste produced by the premises will be stored in bins with a lockable lid and a waste contract will be in place.
3. Staff will ensure that the outside of the premises is checked for litter and customers will be encouraged to dispose of their litter in a responsible manner.
4. Signage will be in place requesting patrons to leave the premises quietly. Large groups of patrons will not be permitted to enter the store together or to loiter outside the premises.
The Protection of Children from Harm
1. The premises shall operate an effective due diligence system to prevent sales to children. This shall include:-
i. A challenge 25 policy whereby all persons seeking to buy alcohol who appear to be under 25 shall be challenged to produce a valid proof of age, to include a passport, a UK photo driving licence or a PASS approved ID card. If no valid ID can be produced the sale will be refused and will be recorded in a refusals book.
ii. Staff shall be given training on induction in the store's systems and policies to prevent the sale of alcohol to children. Training shall be repeated every 6 months. A written record of training shall be kept at the premises and shall be produced to the officer of any responsible authority at their request.
iii. The refusals register shall be checked every month by the premises licence holder and shall be signed to that effect.
iv. Notices shall be displayed prominently at the store to explain to staff and customers the Challenge 25 policy and "no ID no sale".
