CONDITIONS CONSISTENT WITH THE OPERATING SCHEDULE
General
1. The Licence holder will effectively and responsibly manage the premises.
2. The premises will train all staff to challenge any person who appears to be 25 years or under and service will be refused where individuals cannot produce acceptable means of identification. Training shall be provided not less than every six months and written records shall be kept for a minimum of 12 months. These records shall be available for inspection by the Responsible authorities if so required.
3. The premises will not sell any super strength beers, lagers or ciders with an abv of more than 6%.
4. The sale of all spirits (if sold at the premises) shall be by way of counter service only.
5. All alcohol displays will be located in the vicinity of the till area to ensure greater supervision.
6. Signage shall be prominently displayed to confirm that:
a) No alcohol shall be sold or supplied to any persons who are intoxicated.
b) No alcohol shall be sold or supplied to persons under the age of 18 and appropriate proof of age will be requested.
The Prevention of Crime and Disorder
1. Acceptance of an accredited proof of age card system and/or passport or driving licence.
2. Attendance of Shop Watch/Pub Watch or similar locally operated scheme.
Public Safety
1. Suitable and sufficient risk assessments will be in place for health and safety, food safety and fire, including a fire risk assessment, evacuation procedures documented and the keeping of a fire safety record of tests.
2. A refusals log, an incident log and the fire safety log will be kept and be available for inspection by those so authorised.
The Prevention of Public Nuisance
1. Prominent, clear and legible signage will be displayed at the exit door reminding customers that alcohol cannot be consumed in any outside areas.
2. Deliveries will only be made after 0800 and before 2000hrs.
3. A system will be in place for the collection and disposal of litter and rubbish.
The Protection of Children from Harm
1. The Premises shall operate a 'Challenge 25 Policy' whereby any person who attempts to purchase alcohol who appears to be 25 years or under shall be required to provide an approved form of photographic identification as outlined within the Torbay Council Statement of Principles.
